This 12oz coffee mug has what’s sometimes referred to as a summer shape. Its narrow base opens wide at the rim. The shape fits nicely into one’s hands and is easy to drink from. But its wide mouth has a broad surface area, so hot drinks can cool quickly in a cold room. This is not such a problem on a warm day.
The grayish-green celadon outer glaze is contrasted by it’s dark brown inner glaze. Potter handles aren’t my strong suit. Perhaps that’s why I like making bowls. Here though, I created one that works nicely.
