The fog enhanced the dramatic shape of the oak, by shrouding the houses just outside the park. Though minimized, their ghostly shapes separate the sky from the show on the ground. So in an odd way, the fog simultaneously created depth and flattened the image.
To create a bit more drama, I brightened the colors of the few remaining oak leaves. I also darkened the smaller trees within the park. Don’t tell anyone, but I also cloned out a No Parking sign that cluttered the image. It just had to go.
