Like Embedded Rock this is another photo of my Culvert Series.
This pile of decaying leaves has been stacked up on these rocks all winter. They were driven by waves to form a classic, S shaped line of debris.
The frost that lightly dusts the curled leaves gives a muted sparkle to their surfaces. The rising sun spotlights the leaves and contrasts them with frozen pool in the shadows. Thus making the pool darker and cooler looking.
Since the leaves carry the image, I did saturate their colors slightly. It brought a bit more attention their way.
