This is an earthy and weighty mug. But it’s not clunky or poorly thrown, it’s just right. Something about it’s shape makes the mug seems ideal for enjoying 12 ounces of a high-octane coffee, or maybe a stout beer. No pink lemonade here.
The dark glaze goes down on to the top of the handle, creating a collar from an overflowing beverage. The two drips on along the side are testament to my impatience. Unfortunately, by the time I get around to glazing a pot, I’m often ready to move onto the next one.
